Pricing Policy

All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT (or net prices outside the UK).

In the event of price changes with our suppliers, we may find it necessary to adjust our prices accordingly. Unless specified to the contrary prices are listed by the Seller without obligation and are subject to alteration. The Seller may give notice to the Buyer prior to delivery, of any increase in price provided that the Buyer may cancel this contract within 3 days of any such notice by the Seller.

All payments are transacted in £GBP. Prices given in Euros and US Dollars are meant as a guide only.

Product prices listed on our website are also applicable for in-store purchases at our Yorkshire dancewear showroom.

International Pricing

If your delivery address is outside of the UK, you may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country.  You must meet any additional charges for customs clearance or additional documentation.  

Customs policies vary widely from country to country.  We recommend that you contact your local customs office before placing your order for further information and to understand any extra charges that may be applicable. All goods sold on this web site are excluding any import duties, taxes or charges outside the United Kingdom  and Planet Dance cannot be held responsible for any such charges imposed.

If your parcel is returned to us due to unpaid customs fees, we reserve the right to deduct the cost of the return from the refund of the returned goods.

Payments

We accept most major credit and debit cards. All payments are due before despatch or collection is made, with on-line payments transacted on order placement.

We occasionally carry out security checks on card transactions. This is to ensure that no one uses your data without your consent, or with a stolen or duplicated card. In this instance, we will contact you to request the relevant authorisation details in order to proceed with your order. We thank you for your patience and understanding of this procedure.
 


Availability & Delivery

All orders received by 3pm are usually despatched the same day, where goods are in stock at the point of order.  Please note:  Our warehouse is closed on Sundays & Mondays and thus orders placed on these days will be processed on a Tuesday.

Where your goods are out of stock at the point of order, these will be delivered in line with the estimated due date which is stated against each item, unless otherwise advised.

Should your order contain both in and out of stock items, if your out of stock items are due in less than 14 days, we would generally send all your items together. Should your order contain out of stock Items that are due in more than 14 days, we may deliver your order in separate instalments, rather than delay all your goods. Should you require your in stock items immediately, please contact our customer service team and we can arrange an immediate part despatch for you.

We cannot accept liability for late receipt of goods due to delays from manufacturers or shipping companies, with all expected delivery dates given as a guide only. We reserve the right to cancel any back orders or to substiture products of a similar type. In addition, although we regularly review and update stock levels on our website, mismatches may still occur. Thus, should your order be urgent, we recommend that you contact us to confirm availability.

Goods are shipped by Royal Mail or Contract Carrier as appropriate. Your goods may be delivered by separate instalments. If there is no one at the address given to accept delivery of the goods, the carrier will place a card through your letterbox to inform you that they were unable to deliver your order. The carrier will endeavour to deliver your order on the next working day.

You will become the owner of the goods you ordered and responsible for risk of loss of or damage to them once they have been delivered to you.  We cannot accept liability for missing, lost or late delivery  of parcels due to incomplete or inaccurate delivery addresses entered by the buyer upon order placement.

For in-store collections, we will notify you by telephone or email once your order is ready for collection.

If your delivery address is outside of the UK, your order may be affected by Customs and Excise delays for which Planet Dance cannot be held responsible.

Order Cancellation

You can cancel an order at any time prior to despatch. You can do this by contacting us and we will cancel the order and refund any payments made. Although you may contact us by your prefered contact method, we recommend that you call us wherever possible, as we do not accept responsibility for delayed or non-receipt of emails or postal cancellation requests.

Planet Dance reserves the right to reject or cancel any orders, in the event of 
  • Product discontinuation or stock delays
  • Incorrect address / outside of delivery zone
  • Incorrect billing information
  • Fraudulent activity or high risk transactions
  • Failure to provide bank authorisation details where requested
  • Errors or omissions on the website
  • Force majeure 

Returns & Exchanges

All items for exchange or refund should be returned to us within 30 days from their receipt by the customer. Only faulty items can be considered for return outside this period.

Items can only be accepted for exchange or refund if they are returned in their original saleable condition with all their tags & labels attached and in their original packaging.

UK Returns




 
We offer a free returns service for UK orders*.  Please follow the instructions in our 'Delivery & Returns' page to use this service.  Returns on all eligible items are free only when a return label is generated via our online portal. We are unable to reimburse any return postage fees where items have been sent back and paid for directly.  *In-store purchases and Click & Collect orders are not eligible for our free returns service. *Our free returns service provides one label per invoice . We reserve the right to charge for additional labels generated which will be deducted from any refund amount due.

For exchanges; should you require an exchange for the same number of items as that originally ordered, no extra postage & packaging charge will be made for UK deliveries. However the buyer will be charged a supplementary return postage & packaging fee for additional item exchanges. 

Full, UK orders accepted for a refund but returned after 14 days from receipt by the customer, will be subject to the outgoing postage and packing charge, unless faulty or incorrectly supplied.

All tights, socks, foundation garments, printed merchandise and sale items are final sales and are non-returnable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We strongly recommend that you have your pointe shoes professionally fitted and only order online once you know your size on completion of your fitting.  Return of pointe shoes will not be accepted if the drawstring has been pulled or the shoe has been manipulated in any way.

All orders are double checked however if any picking errors occur please inform us within 48 hours from receipt of the order.

Printed items may fade with repeated washing. We recommend these items are washed by hand. Printed items can not be exchanged or refunded after the tag is removed.

International Returns:

All non-UK based returns must be sent postage paid. We recommend using a trackable service as we accept no responsibility for mislaid parcels. Return postage is non-refundable in any circumstances unless items are faulty or incorrectly supplied. Standard second class postage will be refunded in these circumstances only.  

Exchanges for overseas deliveries will be subject to our standard delivery charge in all cases.  International deliveries accepted for a refund will be subject to the outgoing postage and packaging charge, unless faulty or incorrectly supplied.  

If your return products to us from outside the UK, please mark them as 'Goods being returns to the UK'.  Any charges arising from a failure to do this will be passed back to you and deducted from any credit or refund.

If your parcel is returned to us due to unpaid customs fees, we reserve the right to deduct the cost of the return from the refund of the returned goods.

ACADEMY CLUB DANCE SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP - TERMS & CONDITIONS


General Terms

To be eligible for Academy Club membership and the related benefits and services, you need to be either the dance school owner or the person authorised and responsible for the ordering within the dance school. You may be asked to provide documentary proof in either case. Should the school close or you leave the dance school or your professional teaching organisation(s), your Academy Club account may be down-graded or closed.

On submittance of your Academy Club Application Form, your details will be vetted and processed, on approval of which you will be notified of your membership account number

The Academy Club @ Planet Dance scheme and any associated benefits and services may be withdrawn at anytime without notice.

Whilst we honour our standard returns policy for Academy Club accounts, where goods are sold to a business or self-employed member, they are deemed to be exempt from the Distance Selling Regulations as it is not a consumer retail transaction.

Discounts and Benefits

On approval of your Academy Club application, you will be notified of your Academy Account login to use when placing orders. We recommend that you await notification of your login details before placing an order, as discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.

Your Academy Club account is for your personal use only and under no circumstances should it be disclosed to students or any other person. If you share your Academy login details with others, leading to fraudulent activity, we may suspend or close your Academy account without further notice

It is your responsibility to ensure you log in to your Academy account before you start shopping in order to apply the discount to your order, as discounts cannot be applied retrospectiviely.

You will receive the currently published discount rates applicable to your membership category off our retail prices.  Discount rates are subject to change at any time and without notice.

The Academy Club discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount promotion, unless specifically stated.  It also cannot be used for pointe shoes or demi-pointes purchased in-store as part of a shoe fitting.

Student order activity for Platinum Package members is reviewed on a regular basis. Where it becomes evident that only school account orders are being placed, rather than direct student orders, we reserve the rights to downgrade accounts.

Platinum Package membership and it's associated discounts and benefits are granted on the condition that the school provides a reciprocal website link and Facebook page 'like' to the Planet Dance website and Facebook page, where possible.

Payments

We accpet payments by either credit or debit card for online and in-store orders and also by cash for in-store orders. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your account when placing your order.

We may with high value orders, complete a fraud check on your account. This is to ensure that no one is using your information without your consent, or with stolen or duplicate cards. We appreciate your patience and co-operation with this process.

Delivery

Free delivery is offered to all Academy Club members and their students, for orders over the current published order value threshold.

Returns

As dance teachers making purchases on behalf of schools, pupils and / or for professional use, you acknowledge that supply of goods are a commercial transaction and statutory Consumer Contract Regulations (formerly Distance Selling Regulations) do not apply.  For most eligible goods, our policy remains the same as for non Academy Club customers.  it should be noted however, that Costume Gallery and Art Stone costumes and all pointe shoes are not eligible for return except where faulty.  We will try to accommodate changes of sizes where possible for costumes, but this cannot be guaranteed and must be autorised by our Academy Club team prior to return.

Bespoke Printing and Special Orders

Special orders for items that we do not ordinarily stock (eg: items that we have to order in specifically from suppliers) cannot be returned, unless faulty.

Our bespoke uniform design and supply service as part of the Gold or Platinum packages, may be subject to minimum order quantities

Printed merchandise samples sent for approval, remain the property of Planet Dance (UK) Ltd at all times, and must be returned.  Samples not returned within  30 days, will be chargeable and an invoice will be raised accordingly.

The sample set-up cost for printed garments is waivered for Platimum Academy Club members, subject to approval of at least one garment.  Should the Academy member decide not to go ahead with any printed garments following sample production, the set-up fee will be charged retrospectively.

Pricing and VAT

Prices displayed on the website show our standard retail prices and are inclusive of VAT. Your Academy Club discount will be applied at the checkout on entry of your discount code.

VAT will be applied to all transactions at the point of sale and will be clearly shown on your invoice which accompanies your goods. If you are VAT registered, you can claim the VAT back from your local tax office.

Account Data and Contact

We will email you with transactional order information when your orders are placed and despatched.

From time to time, we may email you with Academy Club specific promotional offers. You can unsubscribe from this at any time by emailing [email protected]

From time to time we will send marketing materials and brochures via mail and if you do not wish to receive these please send notification to [email protected]

Your account login information is confidential to you and you only. We do no have access to your password. If you forget or need to change your password, please do so on the login page. it is your responsibility to ensure your information is kept secure. If you share your information with others, leading to fraudulent activity on your membership account, we may suspend or close your account without further notice.
